# Who runs this

Coffee Addict is an independent price tracker run by Ian from the Kāpiti Coast, New Zealand. We track the published prices of 125 NZ roasters daily. We don't sell coffee, don't rank anyone for money, and don't take commissions from roasters — the numbers are the product.

## How the numbers are made

Every night we read each roaster's own shop — the prices they publish, on the pages they publish them on — and rebuild this site from what we found. Nothing here is typed in by hand, and nothing is estimated: a price we could not read is shown as unknown rather than guessed at.

## What we don't do

- We don't sell coffee. Every buy link goes to the roaster's own shop, at the roaster's own price.
- We don't take commissions, referral fees or paid placement. Nobody can buy a position here; the rankings are arithmetic.
- We don't set prices. We read the ones each roaster publishes, and their page is always the fact.
- We don't republish anyone's photographs, and a roaster who asks to be taken off the site is taken off, no argument.

If you roast coffee and something here is wrong about your shop — a price, a bag size, a shipping rate, or the fact that you are on it at all — that address is the fastest way to fix it.

## About this data

Prices, weights and stock are the roasters' own, read from their public shop pages and re-checked every night. We do not set them, mark them up, or estimate them: a figure we could not read is null. Free to quote with attribution and a link.

One scrape a night at 15:40 UTC (about 03:40 in New Zealand), then the whole site and every endpoint is rebuilt.

Links to shops go through /go/ so we can count how many readers we send each roaster. We earn nothing from them — no affiliate deals, no commission, no paid placement — and if that ever changes this line changes with it.
